The very idea of flying has always captivated our human imagination. As crea- tures that are naturally restricted to the ground, we often entertain the fantasy of being able to shrug off the chains of gravity and will ourselves to be lighter than air. Levitation photography seeks to capture that yearning by crafting the impossibility of flight in a surreal setting. A successful project is more than just a composite of two images; it’s the artistic nature of the composition that evokes the emotional response.
