here’s what they’ll see
When your client clicks on that URL you sent them, it will launch their Web browser and they’ll be able to see thumbnails of your shared collection (as shown here).
the proofing process— here’s where it gets a little sticky
To see the images larger, and to be able to mark favorites and make comments, your client can click on any photo for a much larger view. A little heart icon and comment icon will appear at the bottom-left corner. If they want to mark the current photo as a favorite, they can click the heart icon; however (this is going to sound weird, and for the record, I think it’s weird), a window will pop up asking them to log in with an Adobe ID to like or unlike this photo. (Luckily, sign- ing up for an Adobe ID is free, but it’s a bit weird to ask your client to do that. Well, it seems weird to me.) They’ll need to be signed in with an Adobe ID for leaving com- ments as well (see next page).
Now this is just me talking, but if I want a client to mark images as favorites or leave comments, here’s what I’d do: I’d create an Adobe ID for them and give them the user name and ID I cre- ated for them so they can just log right in, and they don’t have to go through the hassle or concern of creating one for themselves (people get weird when you ask for their personal info, so if you create it for them, they don’t have to share any information). Well, that’s what I would do, anyway.
