Well, there’s a new sheriff in town with a totally different way to do client proofing using Light- room—and anybody can do it. You don’t need access to a server; it’s all pretty much automated. It’s designed to let your customers provide direct feedback by either choosing their favorites or sending comments, all directly from your gallery, and...wait for it...their picks and comments appear right inside Lightroom on your com- puter. This is good stuff. Here’s how it works:
start by going mobile
The first step is to take the set of images you want your cus- tomer to proof and put them into a collection in the Collec- tions panel. Now sync this col- lection to Lightroom Mobile by clicking on the little sync box to the left of the collection’s name in the Collections panel.
go to the web
Next, launch your Web browser,
go to lightroom.adobe.com, and
log in with your Adobe ID. You’ll
see all the collections you’ve
synced to Lightroom Mobile. Click
on the collection you want to
share with your client for proof-
ing. By the way, did you notice
that we never went to Lightroom
Mobile on our mobile devices?
We went from Lightroom CC
on our computer, straight to our
Web browser—we haven’t left
our computer. So technically,
even though this uses Lightroom
Mobile as a facilitator, this proof-
ing is all done on your computer. 011
