I call this a “new” Web proofing feature (where you send your images to your client to proof them so they can choose which ones they like), because the old way of creating a Web gallery using Lightroom’s Web module is, honestly, pretty much obsolete at this point. Not to mention that using the Web module requires you to have some understanding, and access to, a Web server, and so there was only a small percentage of folks who could actually create a working Lightroom Web gallery. Not to mention the fact that if you did get it up and running, there was no way for your client to actually pick which shots they liked, short of just typing you an email with the filenames of the images.
