choose from a variety of canvas, paper, and other texture types. Color allows you to change the base color of the tex- ture. Finally, Preserve Transparency, when checked, keeps the transparency of the layer, so the canvas doesn’t overwrite it. I was happy with the defaults here.
presets
With all the settings made, it’s a good idea to save all your changes as a preset. Opening the left Presets panel again, click on the + icon at the top right of the panel.
This opens the Preset Properties dialog where you can name your new preset. Click on New to create a new Category and name it as well. Now, the next time you save a preset, you can add it to this Existing custom preset group (or make a new one). Finally, add a suitable Description of what it does, and click OK to save it. Now that we’re done, it’s just a matter of clicking Apply to save our work to the file and return it to Lightroom. ■
