HOW TO ››
Step 10: Press-and-hold the Shift key and proceed to click on every other shard as you go all the way around the image, ignoring the area in the center, of course. Once you have every other shard selected, turn off the cracked glass layer, click back on the duplicate subject layer to make it active, and then click on the Add Layer Mask icon at bot- tom of Layers panel. This will mask the layer in the area of the selected shards
Step 11: Click on the chain link icon between the subject layer thumbnail and the layer mask to unlink them, which will allow you to move either one inde- pendently. Also, make sure the layer thumbnail is selected, not the layer mask, as indicated by the white border lines around the thumbnail.
Step 12: Press Command-T (PC: Ctrl-T) to activate Free Transform on the duplicate subject layer, and then press Command-0 (zero; PC: Ctrl-0) to expand the window and reveal the transform bounding box. Press-and-hold Command-Option (PC: Ctrl-Alt), and then press the – (minus) key
