Since then it has been restored into the most amazing place, where you’ll find shops, food emporiums, bars and breweries, a theatre or two, and a few art galleries. There’s also Dancemakers theatre, which I often rent to photograph, yes, dancers. The studio has great window light, black curtains, and a black tiled floor, which we know makes controlling light a lot easier. Some of my work from shooting at Dancemakers has been featured in a Canadian dance magazine, as well as an international belly dance magazine.
However, my rental on the dance the- atre had to be cancelled, as I’ve currently
been very busy in the film and TV business this past year, and I was picked up to do stills and gallery photography for a television series called Bad Blood based on the mafia wars with biker gangs from Quebec set during the 1990s. Staring Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace) as Montreal crime boss Vito Rizzuto; Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy) as Vito’s right-hand man, Declan Gardiner; and Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas) as family patriarch, Bad Blood will make its worldwide debut on City and FX this fall. The show was produced by New Metric Media and Sphere Media Plus, in association with DHX Worldwide, and distributed internationally by Sky Vision.
This past year, I’ve also shot most of the episodes for American Gothic, the CBS TV series; another season of Letterkenny for CraveTV; Bruno & Boots for YTV; and the new TV series for CBC called Anne (Anne of Green Gables).
