From the Editor welcome to the “premiere”
issue of lightroom magazine!
If you’ve been a KelbyOne member for a while, you know that Lightroom Magazine has been a “magazine within a magazine” included in each issue of Photoshop User. But since there’s so much interest in Lightroom, and it’s become such a key part of today’s photographer’s workflow, we felt it needed to get its own “wings” and become a separate magazine so it has room to grow and evolve. Well, I’m happy to say that’s what you’re reading today— Lightroom Magazine as its own separate standalone mag, and we’re pretty darn excited about it!
Our expansion starts with this issue and continues next issue as we’re adding two of the best-known names in the Lightroom uni- verse as regular columnists: UK-based photographer and Lightroom book author, Martin Evening, and French Lightroom guru, Serge Ramelli (don’t worry, Serge has promised to write his column in English). Martin’s column, “Developing the Shot,” launches in this issue, and Serge’s column starts next issue. Two wonderful writers, and we’re excited to have them here in the magazine.
Lots of fun stuff happening—we hope you find it helpful, and welcome to the new Lightroom Magazine!
